Found this and needed to share...love this explanation...I don't have lupus, I have Fibromyalgia...but it is a choice everyday.
The Spoon Theory

My best friend and I were in the diner, talking. As usual, it was very late and we were eating French fries with gravy. Like normal girls our age, we spent a lot of time in the diner while in college, and most of the time we spent talking about boys, music or trivial things, that seemed very important at the time. We never got serious about anything in particular and spent most of our time laughing.As I went to take some of my medicine with a snack as I usually did, she watched me with an awkward kind of stare, instead of continuing the conversation. She then asked me out of the blue what it felt like to have Lupus and be sick. I was shocked not only because she asked the random question, but also because I assumed she knew all there was to know about Lupus. She came to doctors with me, she saw me walk with a cane, and throw up in the bathroom. She had seen me cry in pain, what else was there to know?I started to ramble on about pills, and aches and pains, but she kept pursuing, and didn’t seem satisfied with my answers. I was a little surprised as being my roommate in college and friend for years; I thought she already knew the medical definition of Lupus. Then she looked at me with a face every sick person knows well, the face of pure curiosity about something no one healthy can truly understand. She asked what it felt like, not physically, but what it felt like to be me, to be sick.As I tried to gain my composure, I glanced around the table for help or guidance, or at least stall for time to think. I was trying to find the right words. How do I answer a question I never was able to answer for myself? How do I explain every detail of every day being effected, and give the emotions a sick person goes through with clarity. I could have given up, cracked a joke like I usually do, and changed the subject, but I remember thinking if I don’t try to explain this, how could I ever expect her to understand. If I can’t explain this to my best friend, how could I explain my world to anyone else? I had to at least try.At that moment, the spoon theory was born. I quickly grabbed every spoon on the table; hell I grabbed spoons off of the other tables. I looked at her in the eyes and said “Here you go, you have Lupus”. She looked at me slightly confused, as anyone would when they are being handed a bouquet of spoons. The cold metal spoons clanked in my hands, as I grouped them together and shoved them into her hands.I explained that the difference in being sick and being healthy is having to make choices or to consciously think about things when the rest of the world doesn’t have to. The healthy have the luxury of a life without choices, a gift most people take for granted.Most people start the day with unlimited amount of possibilities, and energy to do whatever they desire, especially young people. For the most part, they do not need to worry about the effects of their actions. So for my explanation, I used spoons to convey this point. I wanted something for her to actually hold, for me to then take away, since most people who get sick feel a “loss” of a life they once knew. If I was in control of taking away the spoons, then she would know what it feels like to have someone or something else, in this case Lupus, being in control.She grabbed the spoons with excitement. She didn’t understand what I was doing, but she is always up for a good time, so I guess she thought I was cracking a joke of some kind like I usually do when talking about touchy topics. Little did she know how serious I would become?I asked her to count her spoons. She asked why, and I explained that when you are healthy you expect to have a never-ending supply of “spoons”. But when you have to now plan your day, you need to know exactly how many “spoons” you are starting with. It doesn’t guarantee that you might not lose some along the way, but at least it helps to know where you are starting. She counted out 12 spoons. She laughed and said she wanted more. I said no, and I knew right away that this little game would work, when she looked disappointed, and we hadn’t even started yet. I’ve wanted more “spoons” for years and haven’t found a way yet to get more, why should she? I also told her to always be conscious of how many she had, and not to drop them because she can never forget she has Lupus.I asked her to list off the tasks of her day, including the most simple. As, she rattled off daily chores, or just fun things to do; I explained how each one would cost her a spoon. When she jumped right into getting ready for work as her first task of the morning, I cut her off and took away a spoon. I practically jumped down her throat. I said ” No! You don’t just get up. You have to crack open your eyes, and then realize you are late. You didn’t sleep well the night before. You have to crawl out of bed, and then you have to make your self something to eat before you can do anything else, because if you don’t, you can’t take your medicine, and if you don’t take your medicine you might as well give up all your spoons for today and tomorrow too.” I quickly took away a spoon and she realized she hasn’t even gotten dressed yet. Showering cost her spoon, just for washing her hair and shaving her legs. Reaching high and low that early in the morning could actually cost more than one spoon, but I figured I would give her a break; I didn’t want to scare her right away. Getting dressed was worth another spoon. I stopped her and broke down every task to show her how every little detail needs to be thought about. You cannot simply just throw clothes on when you are sick. I explained that I have to see what clothes I can physically put on, if my hands hurt that day buttons are out of the question. If I have bruises that day, I need to wear long sleeves, and if I have a fever I need a sweater to stay warm and so on. If my hair is falling out I need to spend more time to look presentable, and then you need to factor in another 5 minutes for feeling badly that it took you 2 hours to do all this.I think she was starting to understand when she theoretically didn’t even get to work, and she was left with 6 spoons. I then explained to her that she needed to choose the rest of her day wisely, since when your “spoons” are gone, they are gone. Sometimes you can borrow against tomorrow’s “spoons”, but just think how hard tomorrow will be with less “spoons”. I also needed to explain that a person who is sick always lives with the looming thought that tomorrow may be the day that a cold comes, or an infection, or any number of things that could be very dangerous. So you do not want to run low on “spoons”, because you never know when you truly will need them. I didn’t want to depress her, but I needed to be realistic, and unfortunately being prepared for the worst is part of a real day for me.We went through the rest of the day, and she slowly learned that skipping lunch would cost her a spoon, as well as standing on a train, or even typing at her computer too long. She was forced to make choices and think about things differently. Hypothetically, she had to choose not to run errands, so that she could eat dinner that night.When we got to the end of her pretend day, she said she was hungry. I summarized that she had to eat dinner but she only had one spoon left. If she cooked, she wouldn’t have enough energy to clean the pots. If she went out for dinner, she might be too tired to drive home safely. Then I also explained, that I didn’t even bother to add into this game, that she was so nauseous, that cooking was probably out of the question anyway. So she decided to make soup, it was easy. I then said it is only 7pm, you have the rest of the night but maybe end up with one spoon, so you can do something fun, or clean your apartment, or do chores, but you can’t do it all.I rarely see her emotional, so when I saw her upset I knew maybe I was getting through to her. I didn’t want my friend to be upset, but at the same time I was happy to think finally maybe someone understood me a little bit. She had tears in her eyes and asked quietly “Christine, How do you do it? Do you really do this everyday?” I explained that some days were worse then others; some days I have more spoons then most. But I can never make it go away and I can’t forget about it, I always have to think about it. I handed her a spoon I had been holding in reserve. I said simply, “I have learned to live life with an extra spoon in my pocket, in reserve. You need to always be prepared.”Its hard, the hardest thing I ever had to learn is to slow down, and not do everything. I fight this to this day. I hate feeling left out, having to choose to stay home, or to not get things done that I want to. I wanted her to feel that frustration. I wanted her to understand, that everything everyone else does comes so easy, but for me it is one hundred little jobs in one. I need to think about the weather, my temperature that day, and the whole day’s plans before I can attack any one given thing. When other people can simply do things, I have to attack it and make a plan like I am strategizing a war. It is in that lifestyle, the difference between being sick and healthy. It is the beautiful ability to not think and just do. I miss that freedom. I miss never having to count “spoons”.After we were emotional and talked about this for a little while longer, I sensed she was sad. Maybe she finally understood. Maybe she realized that she never could truly and honestly say she understands. But at least now she might not complain so much when I can’t go out for dinner some nights, or when I never seem to make it to her house and she always has to drive to mine. I gave her a hug when we walked out of the diner. I had the one spoon in my hand and I said “Don’t worry. I see this as a blessing. I have been forced to think about everything I do. Do you know how many spoons people waste everyday? I don’t have room for wasted time, or wasted “spoons” and I chose to spend this time with you.”Ever since this night, I have used the spoon theory to explain my life to many people. In fact, my family and friends refer to spoons all the time. It has been a code word for what I can and cannot do. Once people understand the spoon theory they seem to understand me better, but I also think they live their life a little differently too. I think it isn’t just good for understanding Lupus, but anyone dealing with any disability or illness. Hopefully, they don’t take so much for granted or their life in general. I give a piece of myself, in every sense of the word when I do anything. It has become an inside joke. I have become famous for saying to people jokingly that they should feel special when I spend time with them, because they have one of my “spoons”.

Wow, so much going on with me these days...I have been busy QC'ing my products, looking for the imperfections in them...along with trying to scrap a little bit. I have a few Christmas gift ideas I want to work on this year.

First is my grand-boo and his pumpkin ball...lol He is only 17 months old and when he saw a pumpkin he thought it was a ball...he loves to play ball, any kind of ball will do...I used "Yesterday Kit" for this page by Booland Designs at Plain Digital Wrapper.

I also used "Vintage Berry Kit" by Booland Designs to scrap this page of my cousins and my brother at the Inca Ball in Mobile. It looks like they had a great time with out me...lol

Welcome to the First Digi Scrap Connect Blog Train. This blog train is comprised of 24 fabulous designers who have been participating in the Design Factor Challenge the last 5 weeks. For our 5th challenge, we were required to make an element pack using CU items. Since 1/2 of the items for all the kits would be coming from the Scrap Matters great challenge freebies, we were worried that we were going to have flowers, ribbons and strings coming out our ears with this challenge :). We decided to have fun with it and turn it into a great Blog Train by adding some fabulous papers as well. Flowers, Ribbons, and Strings Oh My!! the blog train was born. Summer is flying by...

Is your summer going by as fast as mine is? Gee I can't believe it is already 1/2 of July gone...I bet the kids are really groaning though because that means they have a little more than a month left to sleep in and play all day...lol

Bittersweet days...

Why is it that for every great thing in life there are always some of those tear jerking moments to go along with it....our grandbaby got to go back home today where he belongs....tears of joy that he gets to go home with his moma and daddy, but tears of sadness because I wont see his smiling face every morning and get that bear hug that goes with it....sigh....Oh, well, pawpaw said we could go see him in a day or two...lol

SO now it is just me and hubby and the three kids left...man is it quiet here...lol
I have been scrapping like mad over the weekend so I will share my pages and a freebie if I can dig one up...

First I was CT for Mermaid Designs and Digital Ink at Plain Digital Wrapper last month...here are a few more layouts I made using their gorgeous goodies:

I made this of Anthony's Grannie's 90th Birthday party using "Come to Me Kit" by Mermaid Designs.

I will admit it...I don't like to play games because if I lose I am a SORE loser...lol Yes, I played sports in high school and I was very competitive, so it carried over to adulthood...lol
FOr the slow wrappin challenge I used Games People Play kit by DIgital Ink, Ribbon from Granny's Trunk kit by Bubbles Bits, and Buttons and stitching from Come to me kit by Mermaid Designs...

{the slow wrapping challenge is a fun one that stretches out over the whole month a piece at a time..}

Happy Sunday Morning to you all...

I am up early this morning due to hubby and grandbaby getting up sooooo stinking early...lol
I have drank most of my pot of coffee and decided to blog a bit. I managed to get a few pages scrapbooked this week. And last night I was dreaming about scrapbooking....lol I was thinking about all the thousands and thousands of pictures that I have taken digitally over the last 9 years. Yep I have had a digital camera now for 9 years! Wow, how time flies by. My first back-up disks of photos are labeled "Wooddell Family Photos 2002." And since then there are at least 100 disks full....I think I take more pictures now with the digital camera then I used to with regular film...partly because I can just keep clicking and I never run out of film...lol
Here recently I burned a disk of pictures of our grand baby for my step-daughter to take home and there were over 4000 pictures of him...I think his first year of life is well documented...lol
So my new goal is going to be to try to get those pictures all scrapped on simple pages and printed in books. If I scrap one book a month, I may be able to get them done by the end of the year? Not sure really, but at least if I plug away at it I will get it done eventually.

Yes, I was up bright and early and glued to my television like a couple billion other people this morning...lol I loved it, and as usual I cried...yeah I know I am sappy. I can't help it though...lol I remember when Princess Diana got married...it was so grand to think that there are still princesses in the world...so now it is a reminder that there are still princes and princesses. And maybe this time it will have a fairy tale happily EVER after life. Anyway, God Bless them and best wishes for a long and happy life together.

Some recent pages that I scrapped using Granny's Trunk kit by Bubbles Bits at Plain Digital Wrapper: This is such a versatile kit, with lots of vintage look and feel type items...love it! Click the preview to see more of it or find the other pieces to the set.

This week the challenge was to create 12 papers and a palette to work from for the next few weeks. The theme is wedding--as in the royal wedding that is coming up soon...

I have been busy...

Both at work and at home. We have lots of new products at work so I have been swamped all day there, then come home to a house full, and my super fabulous grandbaby! lol The house repairs are STILL going on, and my cash is still flying out the door to it all...lol And I got a chance to read up on a few blogs this morning, yay!
I read one called "40 years of memories for 40 years of life" and thought KEWL! What a great thing to scrap book for my family...plus it will jog my memory a bit. What the fibro fog doesn't take over anyway...lol

So I am going to compose a list of 42 memories and scrap them for my 42 years of life so far...this should be fun.

A couple of things....

Well First of all....I am sooooo tickled that I got so many comments on my kit...I am glad that you all like it. I hope you scrap many fun and loving pages with it. I am pleased that you all enjoyed the direct links as well...lol I enjoy creating for my own personal sanity, yes we have 7 kids and I need all the sanity I can muster some days...lol
I am also very hurt by the thief that felt the need to pirate my kit and name it something altogether different and stupid. It was a free kit that was shared with our scrapping community and I even shared it in direct download links, because I HATE 4shared lately as well as all the other pain in the rear file hosting sites...people can be rude and cruel, I know because I have seen it many times in my 42 years...but when someone gives you a gift you should appreciate it and not try to bite the hand that feeds you...just saying......
And wow! I had 1,111 visits this past week! That is amazing! That is encouraging...just wish I had had 1100 comments too...lol

I scrapped a couple of my quick pages that I made for the freebie kit....my favorite new topic of course is my grandson...lol
There is nothing cuter than a sleeping baby! :)
He sleeps when I rock him to sleep and he sleeps snuggled up with his uncles and aunts in the recliner too! He is blessed to have 2 aunts and 4 uncles to squeeze and love on him.
And no way is he rotten or spoiled...lol
Ok, well off I go to scrap more. :) I also used some pieces from a few of the other train participants to scrap a few others with.

Also I decorated this blog with my portion of the kit.

Spent my lunch hour re-doing my blog...now three others to go, but those will have to wait until after work. Bought this lovely blogwear from GottaPixel and TrixieScraps is who designed it. Very Cute!
I acutally read a few blogs this morning, there are some really funny blogs out there if you look. There are a ton of great freebies right now too, couple of blog trains and such.
I've been busy working on the class at Hummiesworld.com {open still for sign-ups} We are creating a recipe book! Lots of fun there. Can't wait to get it all made up. Want to preserve my grannie's, my daddy's and my mom's recipes. Especially my favorite ones...lol
For my friends and family who don't scrap I will post the recipe cards on here for you to save and print for your selves. If I were rich I would print and mail them all. lol
I also need to get busy on Christmas cards too! UGh...We didn't take our usual thanksgiving day photo together so I will have to make do with something else? Not sure what that will be...?

Sunday Morning Rest...

Making my self a "To-do" list today and at the tippy top of it I am putting rest....seems like we go all week needing rest and looking forward to the weekend, then the weekend gets here and we spend it busy cleaning and working. So when Monday morning rolls around we are still just as tired as we were on Friday evening...lol
So my first task for today is to rest, then later we can work on the yard and pool, and what ever other chores we have.
I am dying to scrapbook, but haven't really had time. I get on facebook and check on all my friends and my games and it is time for other stuff, I need a day with NOTHING to do in it...lol
IF wishes were fishes, we would live in a sea...lol
I've seen some great sites while I was stumbling lately too, but haven't had time to share them...maybe I can get the list and post it here soon too.
My boys are pestering me to design them a car in Car Town so they can have a cool ride...lol I did a school mascot type design for one of my boys, now I have to do more...lol

I love to be the first one up on any given morning, but on the weekend it is premo-relaxation time...lol
Just sit here and drink my coffee, play on the computer, and enjoy the gentle snores that I can hear coming from the rooms of the house. Just me and the kitty cats are all the stirs this early on a weekend morning. I guess I wake up early on the weekend because I get up early all week?
I have some awesome pictures to upload too, just need a few minutes to squish them so they will upload faster and not eat my whole band width allotment for the day up...lol

I am working on my scrap kits today. I have a few kits that I want to get uploaded to the store and then I am going to put a big sale on them all. I have spent a couple days checking all the kits I have on my pc against the ones I have in the store and I just realized that I have several that aren't even in the store yet, so I am undertaking that task so I can get caught up now.

I spent the last two days taking pictures for the front covers of Cherokee and Smith County Editions, and in the process of that I got some great shots of my kids and hubby. Can't wait to scrap those pictures!

I'll keep this short and sweet for today so I can get some stuff done! Have a great weekend!

Wow, that flew by! I had sooooo many things I was going to get done...but alas only only managed to get my laundry done and eat way too much with family and friends....lol I did get to tallk to my kids on the phone and I enjoyed watching my 3 younger ones ride their bikes, and we had an awesome ice cream treat on saturday by stopping by DQ...kids all loved it...my butterfinger blizzard was awesome too! lol
I am trying to plan a baby shower for my daughter next month....location and all the logistics are toughest part...cake and punch are the easy parts! lol
I am loving my new job so far still! Getting to do work that you enjoy isn't really work at all! lol

Thought I would catch up on blogging today instead of playing on facebook all morning to relax. Have lots that I haven't shared...
First of all my best and most fun news is that I will be a grandma in May! Austin is pregnant and is due on May 28th! Woohoo! She is still tiny and thin, but that little boy belly looks like she swallowed a basketball....lol It is too cute!
All the other kids are doing fine. The three little ones all have A-B Honor roll this 6 weeks in school!
Still have my products up at two stores, although the economy is not resulting in lots of sales for me...hopefully I can get a few new things up soon.

Happy New Year and Hello again...

Sorry I have been away so long...there has been so much commotion around here that I am struggling to keep my head above the water.....

My job that I started in June is very stifling and just wears me down...to the point where all creativity is gone when I get home each day...so then I just sit and mindlessly play games on facebook or on my computer. Big Fish games are so awesome and they have soooo many of them...

I joined a new store as well, http://www.digiscraps3.com/ my designs are there under the name DigitalGator Designs too. I am still at http://www.myscrapshop.com/ as well.

Haven't scrapped too many pages on my days off because I have scheduled the kids doctor and dentist check ups on those days and I haven't been around to take many pictures or to scrap them. I am very glad that the holidays are over though...lol

I have participated in the January Collab kit at DIGISCRAPS3.com, it is called Frost Bite, and it is a chilly addition to your scrapping goodies. All soft cool colors that I know you will love!

I failed miserabley at my 365 photo challenge this past year...I was great up until we had some family dissapointments and then my depression kicked in and I really didn't care if I took a photo each day or not...Not too sure that I want to make that commitment this year, but I think I am going to set a commitment to at least take several every month, that represent the month. Maybe I will just scrap the months and not the individual days....just not enough time in my days for too much more. we still have 4 kids at home....lol

Yes, I am still alive…

I am sure you thought I had fell off the face of the earth but I am still here. I am trying to keep my head above the water these days. Trying to juggle work, internet business, home stuff, bills, housework, and teenager issues has me run ragged though! Work is sort of leveling off and I feel like I am “getting it”…lol I haven’t had much computer time lately, and the few minutes I get I spend trying to read all my emails and those that are on my facebook account. For my mindless entertainment I am playing the FarmTown and Farmville games on Facebook…if you play come be my neighbor…;)

I am anxious to see our new collab kit at MSS this month. IT was themed for the outdoors and the colors were fun! Stop by there to check it out!

I have scrapped a few pages for my CT requirements and a few few my commitment at hummiesworld, and I made myself a huge chunk of pages all on one screen in order to place them on my desktop at work…the computer there is stuck on tileing the photo, and there is no way for me to change it so I found a way around it…make a desktop that is full of 2 inch squares so that when it tiles it, it will look like a never ending set of pages…looks pretty cool if I do say so myself..lol It is this first page…

I bought a few kits too that I used for a few pages here as well.

These next two pages are of Amand and her swimsuit shots of herself…lol I used my Smooth Sailing Quick pages for them.

WOW, it is Monday again…

It seems like it was just Monday yesterday…lol What is going on over your way? We aren’t doing too much. It is too hot outside to do anything so we stay in all day and go outside to swim late in the evening…lol The little ones will go out in the middle of the heat, they aren’t scared…the teenagers sleep and text all day…and Anthony and I play on the computer or watch tv all day. The joys of the summer weekend…lol

I am trying to organize a few things too. I want to make a few books for Christmas too, mainly heritage ones for my family…and I was looking around in our store and found these gems by Laura to use to get them sort of ordered neatly and all uniformly done…

Scrappy Saturday at my house…

I am trying to get a few things done and for my mind’s leisure I am scrapping in between tasks…lol It was a steamy 95 degrees here today so it was perfect weather to stay inside and not melt in…lol

I scrapped a few pages for my brag book. Just a few pictures here and there that will want to share with people…

This first one is of Amanda holding her cousin Lily…it is sweet because she held her so long she fell asleep and so did Amanda…I used ACM Designs Kit called Bedtime Stories at GottaPixel to make this page.

This page I made to show off my really “macro” shot of a lady bug on my bridal wreath plant in my yard. It is cool because you can see that it is dirty or fuzzy or something? I am not a bug person ok…you can also see it’s tiny little jointed legs…I used ACM Designs kit called Catch N’ Bugs to scrap this page it is available at GottaPixel.net too.

These pages I made for the Quote Challenge at Myscrapshop.com. I used my kit called “My World” to make it. It is a cool lizard in my mom’s backyard. You can find my kits at www.myscrapshop.com/store under the name DigitalGator Designs.

Then I made 2 pages with my newest kit that will be in the store by Sunday called “Summer Whispers.” It is a cool summery beach-y colored kit that I created to scrap a few of my softer summer pictures with. When I got done with it, it seemed to just whisper beach to me so I called it Summer Whispers…lol Check by there tomorrow and it should be loaded up for ya.

I used some of the pictures of my little kids at the park a few weeks ago. They had a good time even if they were hot.

Good Morning all!

Here it is Wednesday already and I haven’t posted. My new job is taking away from my free time at home..lol I am trying to get a freebie uploaded and it keeps giving me all kinds of errors…either my computer is wacky or it is our internet connection. It has been running very slow and we have reported it, but Hughesnet isn’t really expediting the matter. I wish we had Suddenlink available here, because I would sure switch…but alas, we are not in a serviceable location…lol

Good Monday Morning to all those in Blogland!

I am up and at em’ early today…I start my new job today! Wish me luck…why are new things so scary. I always hate the first day of any job because it is that strange unfamiliar feeling that scares the crap out of me…lol My household is going to have to get used to a new schedule in order to semi-function without me. But I will ne working right in the middle of the day and I will have a little time each morning to get a few things done…while it is cool…lol We are still working on getting our air conditioner fixed…geez is that expensive. I have almost recovered most of my scrapbook stuff from the EHD crash…not all of it, but a good bit of it anyway. Let me be moma a minute here…(finger shaking in your direction) You have got to make back up copies on disks to back up the stuff on the external hard drive so that if the disk fails/corrupts, the data will be on the EHD, if the EHD corrupts/fails you will have it on disk…do not trust either of them 100%….I have learned the REALLY hard way.

Ok, whew, glad that was over. Well I guess I will get busy this morning and fold some laundry now…my coffee is getting cold while I type…lol

Alex graduated at 16 years old! I am so very proud of him for setting a goal and sticking to it! Now if he will just make up his mind and pick a college so we can get him enrolled and going…lol

Good Morning in ScrapLand

I am still here…I have been MIA trying to get graduation stuff done for the last week…then Sunday morning I got up and my EHD completely quit…so all my stuff on it is gone…I tried from 6:30 am to 10:30 pm on Sunday, all day Monday and after work all evening on Tuesday to try to recover it…but still no luck…our repair guy here finally determined that it was the internal part of the drive that was broken. So all my CU stuff, TONS of my CT scrap kits are gone, lots of pictures that I had scanned in, the last 5 issues of my magazine, and all my website original graphics….so needless to say I am sick. Everyone says didn’t you back it up…and the answer is no, not yet the drive is only a couple months old….who would expect a brand new drive to fail that fast? I am still upset but at this point I can’t do a thing about it.

I got to scrap about 1 page yesterday because I had to work…but the good news is that I almost am done with it. How is your holiday?

Ours is ok so far…we have stayed up late, slept in, worked, fixed the fence, played basketball with our kids, and ate way too much…lol

Why do all of the holiday celebrations seem to revolve around food? Who’s bright idea was that? Really skinny people I suppose!

I stayed up late and designed a new kit…I first, hand drew some doodles and then scanned them in and made them into some fun little elements to dress up your pages with. Then I created some fabulous papers to go with them and Viola! A new kit was born and I named it, “My World.” And just because I like it so much I put it and the rest of my kits on sale for 25% off…hurry it only lasts until the 17th of April.

I’ve been creating brag book pages to give away…I seem to use them alot…I like to throw my newest pics in them and print them so I can show them off…plus throughout the holidays I uploaded them to Walmart and had them printed at the stores near my mom, my brother, and my aunt…then all they had to do is drive to their local Walmart and pick them up in the 1 hour photo section and Viola! I got lots of mileage from my pages…

I have been scrapping and completing a few challenges at www.myscrapshop.com this weekend…some are easy and some are hard but all of them are fun…

I have an impromptu challenge as well…called “Read to Me” I want you to take a picture of someone reading or your favorite books and show me…then I will let you pick from the Prize Vault. Then you use that kit to scrap a page and share it with us….then you get to pick another prize….how cool is that? Come join me!

Lyrical Challenge The Beatles Song “Here comes the Sun” was the song I chose…and I used Dancing Princess Designs kit called “Lil’ Dreamer” to make it.

Monthly Theme Challenge- “New Growth” This is the best new growth picture I could find…my newest niece…beautiful isn’t she?

I used “Lil’ Dreamer kit by Dancing Princess Designs for this challenge.

ABC’s of Macro Challenge- Something that starts with the Letter B…

An upclose Macro Shot of something that starts with the letter B…my favorite ornaments on our tree are the BIG BLUE BAUBLES…lol I used Sweet Treats kit by Ladybug pages for this challenge…

Scraplift Challenge The l ayout that we scraplifted was fabulous with this blended larger photo on the background and the smaller version in the corner…very fun and something that I have yet to do…so I decided to use one of my older photos for this page…this is my daddy in about 1956 before he went into the military…he was posing like Elvis…

I used pieces from all the Heritage Collab kits at MYScrapShop…lots of great designers….go see.

It’s All About the Elements Challenge The challenge is to just use papers and swirls, but you must have glitter too…very hard to do this one for me, I like to put lots of stuff on here…lol This is my Step daughter Amanda before her semi formal dance. I used pieces of my Frosty Holiday Kit for this page.

And Ed tell them what they have won….lol The prizes are great this month too…And the best part is you get to pick which ones you want…which may well be the hard part of this…lol

There are several other challenge to play with too, but I haven’t gotten them done yet…lol

I have managed to scrap a few pages this week even though it was a busy and stressful week around here…

This is my new niece Lily…I scrapped this page for the Theme of the Month Challenge at MyScrapShop.com. This month’s theme is “New Growth.” This is the best from of new growth I could find.

I used this beautiful kit by Dancing Princess designs at www.myscrapshop.com for this page…It is very fun and versatile…I think I am going to use it to scrap a few of my boys baby pics too.
